Place plate (3) in position over the manifold. Align the mounting holes at Locations AA and BB with the bolt holes in the manifold.

Align the mounting holes at location (CC) at the bracket as shown.

At Location AA, install bolt (7), hard washer (6), and hard washer (1) in order to secure the front of the plate to the manifold. Refer to Illustration 7.At Location BB, install bolt (7), hard washer (6), and spacer (2) in order to secure the rear of the plate to the manifold. Refer to Illustration 8.Note: Tighten the two bolts hand tight.

At Location (CC) install Screw (8) and Hard Washer (6) to secure the front of the plate to the small bracket on the engine.Note: Tighten the bolt hand tight.

Temporarily remove bolt (D) and washer (E), as shown.

Place plate assembly (4) in position over the turbocharger.

Install screws (8) and hard washers (5) in order to secure plate assembly (4) to plate (3). Refer to Illustration 12 and Illustration 13.Note: Tighten the screws hand tight.
Tighten bolts (7), which were loosely installed in Steps 4 and 2.a, to a torque of 25 7 N m (18 5 lb ft).
Reinstall bolt (D) and hard washer (E). These parts were temporarily removed in Step 5.Note: Tighten the bolt hand tight.
Tighten screws (8), which were loosely installed in Steps 4.a and 7, to a torque of 12 3 N m (9 2 lb ft).
Tighten bolt (D), which was loosely installed in Step 9, to a torque of 28 7 N m (21 5 lb ft).

Reinstall hose (A), which was temporarily removed in Step 1.Note: Clean the outside of the hose and clean the hose flanges in order to remove dirt and grease before you reinstall the hose.
