Remove the mounting bracket.
Remove the hydraulic cylinder.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, PERJ1017, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Using suitable cribbing, position the frame assembly as shown in Illustration 1.

Attach Tooling (B) to manifold (5) on either side of swivel (6).
Remove bolts (1), (2) and the half flanges. Disconnect hose assemblies (3).
Disconnect hose assembly (4) from swivel (6).
Use a suitable lifting device to remove swivel (6) and manifold (5) as a unit. Refer Table 2 for the combined weight of swivel (6) and manifold (5).

Place swivel (6) and manifold (5) as a unit on a suitable stand. Remove bolts (7) and manifold (8). Repeat on the other side.

Remove bolts (9) and manifold (5). Use two people to remove manifold (5). Approximate weight of manifold (5) is 28 kg (62 lb).
Repeat on the other side.

Remove adapters (10) from swivel (6). Remove the seal and the O-ring from each adapter.Installation Procedure
Install swivel (6) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of bolts (1), (7), and (9). Refer Table 3 for the correct value of torque for bolts (1), (7), and (9).
