Specification for 422-0868 Front Idler Gp

1 1 7H-3171 Pipe Plug Remove the pipe plug from the front idler assembly and apply air pressure to this port. The front idler assembly should sustain 245 to 256 kPa (36 to 37 psi) air pressure for a minimum of 30 seconds. Add 60 5 mL (2.0 0.2 oz) of 8C-3698 Oil.
2 2 099-0193 Seal Gp The rubber toric seals and all the contacting surfaces must be clean and dry at assembly. Prior to assembly, apply a thin film of 6V-4876 Lubricant to the contacting surfaces of the metal seal rings. The metal seal rings must be assembled square. The rubber toric seal should not bulge and the rubber toric seal should not twist.
3 2 095-0894 Spring Pin Install the spring pin with the slit in the range that is specified. The correct position of the spring pin is shown in view B-B.
Specified range (C) is 40 degrees.
Angle from centerline of idler shaft (D) is 20 degrees.
4 - - After assembly, the surface must be clean and free of protective coating.
5 2 294-5350 Idler Bearing Bore diameter after assembly is 50.114 0.068 mm (1.9730 0.0028 inch).
6 - 422-0871 Idler Shaft Install the idler shaft. Position the "R" that is stamped on the end face of the idler shaft backward into the front idler bearing.
- - - End play in axial direction:
Minimum is 0.10 mm (0.004 inch).
Maximum is 1.20 mm (0.047 inch).
