TM-1 This Program can only be administered after a failure occurs. The decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS50109" as the Part number and "7755" as the Group Number. Use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
There is one exception to the above note: When one engine of a multiple engine boat is repaired for cylinder bore wear, then the sister engine can be reworked using this program, if the sister engine has a Vernon Cylinder block (identified with a "FAPS" on upper RH center of block behind turbocharger), and meets blowby or iron ppm criteria specified. Separate claims must be issued for each engine. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "T" as the SIMS Description Code. If administered after failure, see the above note.

The cylinder block bore may have excessive wear causing high crankcase blowby, and/or cracks which would push coolant out of the engine on certain 3126 Marine Engines.

This program applies to a failed engine after blowby and iron content in the oil have been checked and it meets the following conditions:
- Crankcase blowby must be over 700 CFH, AND- Iron in the oil analysis must exceed:75ppm @50Oil hrs85ppm @100 Oil hrs96ppm @150 Oil hrs107ppm @200 Oil hrs120ppm @250 Oil hrs This program also applies to sister engines built with Vernon Cylinder Block Castings (identified with a "FAPS" on upper RH center of block behind turbocharger) that meet the requirements below.
GROUP 1
(Low unit pressure oil rings)
3126 MARINE (8NM1-1946)
In this group, when one engine in the vessel is repaired for cylinder bore wear, then the sister engine should also be reworked using this program, if the sister engine has a Vernon (FAPS) Cylinder block and one of the following: It has blowby greater than 550 CFH, OR Iron in the oil greater than:
50ppm @ 50 Oil hrs 55ppm @ 100 Oil hrs60ppm @ 150 Oil hrs65ppm @ 200 Oil hrs70ppm @ 250 Oil hrs These requirements are different than those for the "failed" engine, because the sister engine does not have to be worn out, only that there is an indication that unacceptable wear is progressing in the sister engine.

(High unit pressure oil rings)

In this group, when one engine in the vessel is repaired for cylinder bore wear, then the sister engine should also be reworked using this program, if the sister engine has a Vernon (FAPS) Cylinder block. There are no other requirements for the sister engine in
