Location of the adapter in the transmission planetary groups.Adaptable As: The chart shows the changed components of the electronic speed sensor groups and the changed adapters in the transmission planetary groups. The components can be identified by part numbers either stamped, raised, or etched on the components. The machined surfaces of the former rotors and adapters have a shiny appearance while the new rotors and adapters have a dull gray appearance. The former shafts were not hardened to the end of the serrations while the new shafts are hardened to the end. A file can easily cut material at the end of the serrations on the former shaft but not on the new shaft. The rotors, shafts and adapters should be inspected for serration wear whenever any of the parts are removed.
