Some rod bearings for 3500 and G3600 Engines may have a quality related issue.Solution
The manufacturer recommends recording and maintaining records of the bearings' date codes on all rebuilt 3500 and G3600 engines. Also, record the date codes and maintain records of the date codes on all repairs that are associated with the bottom end of the engine.

Record the serial number of the engine, the date codes of the bearings, and the position of all the connecting rod bearings and the main bearings. Refer to Illustration 1 for an example of a date code. Refer to Table 1 below for an example of a table for recording.
