(1) For use with 137 mm (5.4 inch) bores.
(2) For use with 145 mm (5.7 inch) bores.Start By:
Remove the pistons and connecting rods. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Pistons and Connecting Rods - Remove". Note: Mark the components of each piston and connecting rod assembly. The components must be reinstalled in the original location. Do not interchange components.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove lower connecting rod bearing (10) from connecting rod bearing cap (11).
Remove upper connecting rod bearing (9) from connecting rod (6).
Use Tooling (A) to remove pin retainer (5) from piston body assembly (4).
Remove connecting rod pin (8) and connecting rod (6) from the piston body assembly.
Use Tooling (B) to remove piston rings (1), (2), and (3) from the piston body assembly.
Do not remove bearing (7) at this time. Note: The bearing will be removed from the connecting rod when a new bearing is installed in the connecting rod.
