PUMP GP-PISTON 1969823 - Caterpillar

Remove three of the top bolts (9) that hold draft arm trunnion (10) to the inside of the bowl.
Install a lifting strap on draft arm trunnion (10). Remove remaining bolts (9) that hold draft arm trunnion (10) to the side of the bowl.Note: Keep all of the hardware that is removed.
Remove trunnion (10) .

Use 4C-4204 Paint Remover in order to clean all grease and paint from mounting area (11) on the outside of the bowl.

Use bolts (9) in order to install trunnion (10) . Tighten bolts (9) to 1125 100 N m (820 75 lb ft).

Remove the draft arms from the bowl.
Use a suitable method in order to flip the draft arms. Attach suitable lifting straps to the draft arm. Remove shipping skid (12) and bumper (13). Install the bolts into the mounting holes for the bumper on the draft arm.
Use 4C-4204 Paint Remover in order to clean the mounting surfaces of the following:
Draft frame
Draft arm
Trunnion

Lift the draft arm into position and install cap (8). Install bolts (7) in order to hold cap (8) in place. Torque bolts (7) to 1125 100 N m (820 75 lb ft).

Raise draft arm (6) and position draft arm (6) over the end of the draft frame. Make sure that the holes in draft arm (6) and the draft frame are aligned.
Install bolts (4). Torque the bolts and nuts to 1125 100 N m (820 75 lb ft).

Connect the linkage (14) for the apron to the spool for the apron circuit at the main control valve.
Install a pin in order to hold linkage (14) to the spool.
Install a cotter pin in order to hold the pin in position.
Connect the linkage (15) for the ejector to the spool for the ejector circuit at the main control valve.
Install a pin in order to hold linkage (15) to the spool.
Install a cotter pin in order to hold the pin in position.

Use a suitable lifting device in order to position apron lift link (17) with apron lift frame (16) .
Install pin (E) that connects apron lift link (17) to apron lift frame (16). Install clamp (F) and parts (G) in order to hold pin (E) .
Use a suitable lifting device to fully raise the apron. Remove the support stand for the apron.
Start the tractor and use the control lever for the apron to fully raise the apron lift frame. Use the hoist to fully lower the apron.

Install pin (H) that connects apron lift link (17) to the apron. Install clamp (F) and parts (G) in order to hold pin (H) .

Install hydraulic line guard (3) on the left side of the bowl. Install hydraulic line guard (3) on the right side of the bowl.Note: Step 37 and step 38 apply only to the 657E scraper.

Install extension (18) for the air cleaner. Install exhaust pipe (19). Raise handrail (20) and install the bolts that hold handrail (20) in
