Drain the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Refill Capacities and Recommendations".

Remove plates (1) and shield assemblies (2).

Remove tube assembly (4) and joint assembly (3).
Remove tube assembly (5).

Remove bolts (6) and bolts (8).
Disconnect elbow (7).

Disconnect tube assembly (9) from bonnet (10).

Attach a suitable lifting device to engine oil cooler (11).

Remove bolts (12) and bolts (15).
Move bonnet (13) and cooler bypass elbow (17) away from tube assembly (14) and tube assembly (16).
Remove engine oil cooler (11). The weight of the engine oil cooler is approximately 104 kg (230 lb).

Remove bolts (19).
Remove tube assembly (18).
Remove bolts (20) in order to remove bonnet (10) and the gasket from engine oil cooler (11).

Remove bolts (21).
Remove bonnet (13) and the gasket from engine oil cooler (11).
Remove bolts (22).
Remove cooler bypass elbow (17) from engine oil cooler (11).

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
Remove plug (27).
Remove bolts (26).
Remove cover (28) and O-ring seal (25) from cooler bypass elbow (17).
Remove spring (24) and bypass valve (23) from cooler bypass elbow (17).
