Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
Remove the ride control diverter valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Diverter Valve (Ride Control) - Remove". Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the removal procedure, thoroughly clean the exterior of the component. Thoroughly cleaning the exterior of the component will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism. Precision components can be damaged by contaminants or by dirt. Perform disassembly procedures on a clean work surface. Keep components covered and protected at all times.Note: Put identification marks on all lines, on all hoses, on all wires and on all tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, all hoses, and all tubes in order to prevent fluid loss and contaminants from entering the system.

Remove locknut (6) and the washer. Remove coil (5).

Remove cartridge (7).

Remove O-ring seal (8), O-ring seal (9), O-ring seal (10), backup ring (11) and backup ring (12) from cartridge (7).

Remove fitting (13). Remove the O-ring seal from fitting (13).
Remove four bolts (14) and housing (15).

Remove O-ring seal (16) from housing (15).

Remove plug (17). Remove the O-ring seal from plug (17).

Remove spool (18).

Sudden release of spring force can cause injury.To prevent the possibility of injury, follow the procedure to relieve the spring pressure.
Compress spring (19) and remove two retainers (20) from spool (18).

Remove fittings (21) and (22). Remove the O-ring seals from fittings (21) and (22).
Remove two O-ring seals (23).

Remove eight bolts (25) and four half flanges (24).
