Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Installation Procedure
If installing a replacement 308-1859 Cylinder Head As on 3024C and C2.2 engines, use the following procedure:
Remove the dowels from the top of the cylinder block.
Use suitable alignment pins to align the cylinder head gasket and the cylinder head to the cylinder block.
Install the cylinder head bolts.
Once the cylinder head gasket and the cylinder head are aligned to the cylinder block, remove the alignment pins. Install the remaining cylinder head bolts.
