Hand Lever Control Pattern for the Standard and for the Optional Winch. D =DISCONNECT OR FREESPOOLBO =BRAKE OFFN =BRAKE ONRI =REEL INRO =REEL OUT 1. Position lever (1) in the neutral position. Move hand control lever (3) to position (N). Adjust the length of rod assembly (4) so that it can be connected to lever (6) with 0S1588 Bolt and 2K4973 Locknut.2. Position lever (2) in the neutral position. Hand control lever (3) remains in position (N). Adjust the length of rod assembly (5) so that it can be connected to lever (7) with 0S1588 Bolt and 2K4973 Locknut.3. Adjust setscrew (8) to achieve a 14.5 mm (.57") dimension (A).4. Move hand lever (3) from position (N) to position (BO). Readjust setscrew (8) if necessary to insure that hand lever (3) will move into and remain in position (BO) without overtraveling into disconnect (D). Hand control lever (3) should not move into position (D) until the thumb button is depressed. 5. STANDARD DISC WINCHES: Move hand control lever (3) from position (N) toward position (RI) slowly while observing the linkage free play. Readjust rod assembly (4) if necessary to insure that free play does not travel beyond the index mark on the cover (Z). OPTIONAL DISC WINCHES (REEL OUT): Move hand lever (3) from side to side slowly and observe linkage free play. Readjust rod assembly (4) if necessary to insure that free play is centered on index mark on cover. Dimension (Y) must equal dimension (Z). 6. Remove the plugs from reel out pressure tap (P), reel in pressure tap (Q), input clutch pressure tap (R) and free spool pressure tap (S) located on the right hand side of the winch.7. Install a 0 to 4150 kPa (0 to 600 psi) pressure gauge in each pressure tap location.8. Start the engine and run at low idle.9. With the hydraulic oil at normal operating temperature and hand control lever (3) in position (BO), the pressure at taps (P), (Q) and (R) should be 1725 kPa (250 psi) minimum. The pressure at tap (S) should be zero.10. With hand control lever (3) in position (RI) the pressure at taps (Q) and (R) should be 1725 kPa (250 psi) minimum, and the pressure at taps (P) and (S) should be zero.11. With hand control lever (3) in position (RO), if equipped, the pressure at taps (P) and (R) should be 1725 kPa (250 psi) minimum, and the pressure at taps (Q) and (S) should be zero.12. With hand control lever (3) in position (D) the pressure at tap (S) should be 1725 kPa (250 psi) minimum.13. Make further adjustments to rod assemblies (4) and (5) as necessary until the pressures are correct.14. After adjusting the linkage, move hand control lever (3) to position (RI). The winch drum should rotate clockwise when viewed from the right side of the machine.15. Adjust stop bolt (9) to allow hand control lever (3) to move into position (D) after depressing the thumb button. Readjust
