The air conditioning condenser motor circuitsneed to be separated from one another. This will prevent multiple blownfuses of this circuit. A new harness needs to be installed on the productslisted below. You will not be charged for the service performed.Contact your local Caterpillar dealer immediatelyto schedule this service. The dealer will advise you of the time requiredto complete this service. Remove the A/C cover to gain access to the condensermotors.

Disconnect the two motor harnesses. Disconnectand remove the relay. Disconnect the A/C harness from the cab harness.

Install two 3E5239 Relay Assemblies and one 1994214Plate in place of the former relay, using one 5C2890 Nut, two 8T4138 Bolts,and three 8T4205 Washers. Orient the plate so that the connectors willeasily accept the wiring harness connectors (will probably have to be ata slight angle to accomplish this).

Connect the 2455891 Harness Assembly to the tworelays, as shown in Illustration 4.

Connect the two, two-pin connectors from the oppositeend of the 2455891 Harness Assembly to the two motor harnesses, as shownin Illustration 5.

Route the new 2528202 Harness Assembly along theA/C hoses (from the bottom to the top of the cab).

Remove the three wires from the plug of the existingcab harness. Install these three wires into the six-pin connector of the2429666 Harness Assembly as follows:

Connect the six-pin connector of the 2429666 HarnessAssembly to the remaining six-pin connector of the 245-5891 Harness Assembly.Reorient the 1994214 Plate, if needed. Bundle and strap the harness wiringas shown, using 3S2093 Straps.

Connect the other endof the 2429666 Harness Assembly to the 2528202 Harness Assembly. If the2528202 Harness Assembly has a 6-pin connector on one end, it must be replacedwith a 2-pin connector. Disassemble the 6-pin connector and replace witha new 1552270 Connector (2-pin), putting the 159-BU wire in pin location1 and the 200-BK wire in pin location 2. Strap the harness wiring as shown,using 3S2093 Straps. Install the A/C cover.

Strap the 2528202 Harness Assembly along the A/Clines, as shown (enclosures removed for viewing purposes). Connect theother end of the harness to the auxiliary plug (red and black wires).
