Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".

Position Tooling (A) under crankcase guard (1). The weight of crankcase guard (1) is approximately 66 kg (145 lb).
Remove bolts (3) .
Do not do Steps 3 and 4 if you are only rotating crankcase guard (1) to the DOWN position.
Use Tooling (A) in order to rotate crankcase guard (1) to the DOWN position.
Remove pins (2) .
Use Tooling (A) in order to remove crankcase guard (1) from the machine.

Remove bolts (5) .
Use two people in order to remove crankcase guard (4) from the machine. The weight of crankcase guard (4) is approximately 23 kg (50 lb).Installation Procedure

Use two people in order to position crankcase guard (4) to the machine. The weight of crankcase guard (4) is approximately 23 kg (50 lb).
Install bolts (5) .

Use Tooling (A) in order to position crankcase guard (1) to the machine. The weight of crankcase guard (1) is approximately 66 kg (145 lb).
Step 4 is not required if you are only rotating crankcase guard (1) to the UP position.
Use Tooling (A) in order to rotate crankcase guard (1) to the UP position.
Install pins (2) .
Install bolts (3) .End By: Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
