C9.3 Tier 4 Final machines are logging -7 injector fault codes leading to no-fault-found (NFF) injector replacements.Solution
The current engine control software (released in 2014) can cause false -7 fault codes to trip on the fuel injectors.Follow the steps below to determine if the fault code is an actual failure or not:
Download a product status report and Verify -7 code is present/logged
Talk to the operator and see if the operator noticed any engine performance complaints
If the -7 code is present, run the "Fuel System Verification Test" to clear the code. If the code clears and there are no complaints of performance issues, it was likely a false trip.
If the code does not clear, continue to follow the Troubleshooting, UENR0978-20, "Injector Solenoid-Test" for a faulty injector.
