PUMP GP-PISTON 2298604 - Caterpillar

Open the side cover. The electric fuel refueling pumps fuel into the fuel tank.
Do not operate the fuel pump more than 60 minutes continuously or more than 5 minutes without fuel. Pump damage can result.
1. Remove cap (1) from the fuel tank.2. Properly insert the free end of suction hose (2) into a container of fuel. 3. Turn the fuel pump switch (3) to ON to transfer the fuel to the fuel tank.4. When the fuel reaches the FULL mark on the fuel level gauge, turn the fuel pump switch (3) to OFF.
To prevent hose damage, do not coil the hose in a tight radius.
5. Make sure excess fuel is drained from the suction hose (2) before storing.6. When storing the suction hose (2), coil the suction hose on the support attached to the fuel tank. Fasten the end of the hose to the holder provided on the support.7. Install cap (1) on the fuel tank.8. Close the side cover.Engine Compartment Light
1. The light is installed inside the engine hood. Unlatch and raise the engine hood. 2. Move the switch on the light to turn it ON. Move the switch in the opposite direction to turn it OFF. 3. Close and latch the engine hood.Windshield
Windshield - The upper windshield can be partially opened for defogging the windshield when working in the rain or opened completely for increased ventilation.Use the front window for a secondary exit. 1. To open the windshield to the defog position, release the two latches, one on each side of the windshield. Lift the windshield slightly and latch it in the defog position. 2. To open the windshield completely, disconnect the wiper connector and release the two latches. Lift and slide the windshield back with both handles until it stops. Secure the windshield in the open position with the latches. 3. When the right lock bolt handle is placed in the "AUTO-LOCK" position and the windshield is pushed back into the storage position, the lock bolt slides on the bracket ramp and is automatically locked. Then move the left lock bolt handle into the "LOCKED" position to hold the windshield at the stored position. When the windshield is pushed back into the storage position, the Auto-Lock latch (3) is automatically locked. Then move both manual lock bolt handles (4) into the "LOCKED" position to hold the windshield at the storage position.Cab Door
Cab Door - Pull the door latch to open the door. Open the door all the way and secure it to the latch on the cab wall, for additional ventilation. Cab Door Release Lever - Pull the lever forward to unlatch the door from the catch.Rear Window
Rear Window - Unlatch either left or right side of the rear window and slide it away from the latch.Seat Adjustment
Seat adjustment should be checked at the beginning of each shift and when operators change.Always use the seat belt when operating machine.Adjust seat to allow full pedal travel with operator's back against seat back.
