Line Relief Valve at Main Control Valve
Note: Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Relief Valve (Main) - Test and Adjust".
Stop the engine.
Disconnect the high pressure hose at the main control valve. The high pressure hose leads to the hydraulic motor of the generator.
Block the main control valve port with a 6V-9832 Cap .
Block the hose with a 6V-9511 Face Seal Plug .
Start the engine.
Lower the left console.

(8) Tap (Load sensing signal pressure)
Move the flow priority switch to the ON position. Check the line relief valve pressure at tap (8) .Note: The line relief valve must be set at the value that is specified by the supplier of the hydraulic motor for the generator set. The normal pressure setting is 2000 to 3000 kPa (290 to 435 psi) higher than the working pressure of the attachment. If the line relief valve is not set to the proper specification, adjust the line relief valve.

(V) Adjustment screw (W) Locknut
Loosen locknut (W) .
In order to increase the setting of the line relief valve, turn adjustment screw (V) clockwise. In order to decrease the setting of the line relief valve, turn the adjustment screw (V) counterclockwise.
Tighten locknut (W) .
Stop the engine.
Remove the plug from the main control valve. Remove the cap from the high pressure hose.
Connect the high pressure hose to the main control valve.Priority Flow Control
Decrease the pressure at the main relief valve to approximately 28000 kPa (4061 psi) in order to simulate a high flow and high pressure implement operation. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Relief Valve (Main) - Test and Adjust".

(9) Locknut (10) Screw
Loosen locknut (9) at the bottom side of the priority valve.
Turn screw (10) clockwise against the stop. Then turn screw (10) for two revolutions in the counterclockwise direction.Note: The priority valve margin pressure is the difference between the load sensing signal pressure and the main pump pressure. If screw (10) is against the stop, the priority valve margin pressure is approximately 2200 kPa (319 psi). For the best performance, the priority valve margin pressure should be 200 50 kPa (29 7.3 psi) lower than the main pump margin pressure.Note: A full turn of screw (10) in the counterclockwise direction reduces the margin pressure of the priority valve by 140 kPa (20 psi).
Start the engine and lower the left console. Move the flow priority switch to the ON position.Note: Do not turn on the magnet.

Measure generator speed (X) while both joysticks are in the NEUTRAL position.Note: The pressure setting at tap (8) should be 28000 kPa (4061 psi).
Measure generator speed (Y) while the stick cylinder is fully operated against the stop.
Compare speeds (X) and (Y). If the difference of the generator speeds is greater than 50 rpm, turn screw (10) clockwise by 1/3 turn.
Repeat Steps 5 through 7 until the generator speed difference is less than 50 rpm.Use the following formula to determine the difference in speed:

Check the line relief valve pressure at tap (8) .Note: The line relief valve must be set at the value that is specified by the supplier of the hydraulic motor for the generator set.
