Associated TasksThe following tasks apply when using Terrain with Loadrite:
Use the menu to zero the bucket weight.
Use the menu to set the trigger height.
Send a truck to clear Loadrite data.
Use the digital window option.Zeroing the Bucket Weight
In some conditions, such as clay or mud, material may consistently remain in the bucket after dumping. When first installing the system, and regularly afterwards, zero the bucket weight as follows:
With the bucket empty, observe the bucket weight in the Loadrite item that is tracking bucket weight.
In the Terrain main menu, select Loadrite > Zero.
Observe that the weight changes to "0" (zero) in the Loadrite on-screen item that is tracking bucket weight.Setting the Trigger Height
Set the trigger height under these conditions:
The excavator is moved.
Warnings appear regarding unstable lifts.
The system stops counting bucket loads.
Dipper weights are inaccurate or unreliable.Complete these steps to set the trigger height.
Move the bucket to the desired trigger height. For example, the trigger height may be just above the height at which the bucket clears the material being dug.
In the main menu, select "Loadrite" > "Trigger Level". Loadrite sets the current bucket height as the trigger height.Note: If using the Loadrite device to set the trigger level, a confirmation appears on the Loadrite device at this stage. If using the Terrain display to set the trigger level, the confirmation may not appear, but the software will accept the new trigger level.Clearing the Loadrite Data
Send Truck - Select this button to clear the Loadrite data.Using the Digital Window Option
The following existing digital window option uses Loadrite data:DWN - Dipper Weight NowNote: The software presents the "DWN" value in the digital window with two decimal places. The software then truncates (rather than rounding) the "DWN" value in TMAC messages to one decimal place.System Troubleshooting
Inaccurate or Missing Values
Verify that the following sensors are operational and that the sensor cable is not damaged:
Bucket
Stick
Boom
Tilt 1 sensor
Tilt 2 sensorVerify that the trigger level is appropriate for the current work.Missing Values
Verify that the trigger height is set just above the full bucket height.
Verify that the operator is moving the machine smoothly and consistently.Values Not Updating
Verify that Loadrite is sending the information. After information is sent, bucket weights appear in the following TMAC messages:
DipperReport
DipperReport2
DipperReport3
LoadReport
LoadReport2
LoadReport3Hardware Installation Issues
Verify the correct installation of all harnesses.
Recognize that the payload weight value is derived from the pressure that is measured by the sensors in the hydraulic arm.Connection Issues
If Terrain and Loadrite are not connected, complete the following tasks:
Open the Terrain main menu and select "Diagnostics" > "Connected Devices" to verify that Loadrite is configured and connected correctly. If not configured, follow instructions for enabling third-party J1939 connectivity.
Verify all physical connections.
Verify that the devices and associated wiring are undamaged.
