Use the following steps in order to assemble ratchet assembly (27).
Put link (29) in position on the right and left sides of ratchet (31).
Install pin (30).
Install pin (28) in pin (30).
Put ratchet assembly (27) in position in the support assembly.
Install the pin that holds ratchet assembly (27) in place. Note: Make sure that the hole in the pin is in alignment with the hole in the support assembly.
Install the lock pin that holds the pin.

Put the two links that are on ratchet assembly (27) on the right and left sides of the bellcrank.
Install roller (26) with the cotter pin and pin (25).
Install springs (24).

Use Tooling (A) in order to install the two bearings in the cover assembly. Install the bearings until the bearings are 0.79 mm (0.031 inch) below the inside surfaces of the cover assembly.
Use Tooling (A) in order to install the seal that is for the cover assembly. Install the seal with the lip toward the inside of the cover assembly. Make sure that the seal makes contact with the bottom of the counterbore that is in the cover assembly. Put clean oil on the seal.
Use Tooling (A) in order to install the plug. Make sure that the plug makes contact with the bottom of the counterbore that is in the cover assembly. Note: Make a mark or a stake in three places around the plug in order to hold the plug in position.

Install the seal into the bore that is for the parking brake with Tooling (A). Install the seal with the lip toward the inside of the cover assembly. Make sure that the seal makes contact with the bottom of the counterbore that is in the cover assembly. Put clean oil on the lip of the seal.
Install the plug that is in the opposite end of the bore with Tooling (A). Make sure that the plug makes contact with the bottom of the counterbore.
Put brake pawl (22) in position in the cover assembly, as shown.
Install lever assembly (23). Note: Make sure that the hole that is in lever assembly (23) is in alignment with the hole that is in brake pawl (22).
Install the lock pin with a hammer and a punch.

Install sleeve (21) in the cover assembly with Tooling (A). Note: Sleeve (21) must be in contact with the bottom of the counterbore that is in the cover assembly.

Install spring (20).
Put clean oil on piston (19) and install the piston in the cover assembly, as shown.

Use the following steps in order to assemble plunger assembly (10).
Install plunger (16) and spring (15) in plunger (17).
Install valve (14) with spiral ring (13).
Install O-ring seal (18).

Install spring (12), spring (11), plunger assembly (10) and retainer (9).

Install the cotter pin, the pin and roller (8) on lever (6).

Put shaft (5) in position in the cover assembly.
Install key (7) in shaft (5).
