Remove the truck body retaining cable. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Truck Body Retaining Cable - Remove and Install"
Remove the rear tire. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Tire and Rim (Rear) - Remove".
When you are using hydraulic cylinders and puller studs, always ensure that the rated capacity of the puller stud meets or exceeds the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder. If the puller stud does not meet or exceed the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder, a sudden failure of the puller stud could occur. The sudden failure of the puller stud could result in personal injury or death.

Remove clip (3) and position the hose assembly out of the way.
Disconnect grease hose (1) and remove blocks (2).

Remove cap (4).

Attach a suitable lifting device to link assembly (5). The weight of link assembly (5) is approximately 417 kg (919 lb).
Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (A). The weight of Tooling (A) is approximately 209 kg (460 lb).
Position Tooling (A) onto pin (6). Remove pin (6). The weight of pin (6) is approximately 77 kg (170 lb).
Repeat Steps 5 and 6 for the other pin.
Remove link assembly (5).
Repeat Steps 1 through 8 for the remaining links.

For each of the links, remove retaining rings (7) and remove bearing (8).
