TRUCK ENGINE C7 Caterpillar

Information:

1. Remove cover (1) from the defroster fan and windshield wiper motor. 2. Remove two bolts under cab that hold gauge and indicator panel to the cab floor. Push the gauge and indicator panel (3) back and fasten it with the seat belt.3. Disconnect wiring harness (2) from the fan and wiper motors, also disconnect one wire in back of the seat to the cab light.4. Fasten a hoist to the cab and remove seven mounting bolts under cab. 5. Remove two bolts (4) on left rear of cab and one bolt on left front. 6. Remove two bolts (5) and plate (6) from right front of cab. 7. Remove two bolts (8) and two plates (7) from right rear of cab. 8. Disconnect windshield washer tube (9) from the washer bottle. 9. Lift the cab (10) straight up until the cab frame is free of the platform locking pin. Remove the cab. Weight of the cab is 500 lb. (225 kg).Install Cab
1. Put the cab (1) in position over the cab floor. Make sure the hole in the cab frame is in alignment with the platform locking pin. Lower the cab and put the windshield washer tube through the floor and the ties. Connect the washer tube to the washer bottle. 2. Install two bolts (2) in the left rear of the cab frame. Install one bolt in the left front. 3. Install one plate (3) and two bolts (4) in the right front of the cab frame. 4. Install two plates (5) and two bolts in the right rear of the cab frame. 5. Connect the wiring harness (6) to the defroster fan and windshield wiper motors.6. Connect one wire in back of the seat to the cab light. 7. Install cover (7) for the defroster fan motor and windshield wiper motors.8. Lower the gauge and indicator panel (8) to the cab floor, the install the two bolts that hold the gauge and indicator panel under the cab floor.
