Oil that is hot or under pressure can cause personal injury. To prevent personal injury, make sure the pressure in oil lines (2) and (4) is released. Make sure the oil has become cool before any work is done on the machine's hydraulic system.
1. Remove the oil from the circle drive (1).2. Put identification on oil lines as to their location on circle drive motor (3). Disconnect oil lines (4) from the motor.3. Fasten a hoist to the motor. Remove bolts (2) and the washers. Remove bolts (2) and the washers. Remove circle drive motor (3). Weight is 74 lb. (34 kg). Remove the O-ring seal from the motor.Install Circle Drive Motor
1. Install new O-ring seal on the circle drive motor.2. Fasten a hoist to circle drive motor (1). Put it in position on circle drive (2). Install the washers and the bolts that hold the motor to the circle drive. The weight of the circle drive motor is approximately 74 lb. (34 kg).3. Connect the oil lines to their correct location on the motor.4. Fill the circle drive with oil to its correct level.Disassemble Circle Drive Motor
START BY:a) remove circle drive motor 1. Remove bolts (2) that hold the cover to housing (1). Remove the cover.2. Remove the port plate if it comes off with the cover. Remove the two pins and the bearing cup from cover (2). 3. If the port plate did not come off with the cover, remove port plate (4) from the end of the cartridge.4. Remove bearing cone (3) from the end of shaft (5). 5. Remove screws (6) from the retainer with tool (A). 6. Remove retainer (7) from the housing with two 1/4"-20 NC forcing screws. Remove the O-ring seal and shims (8) from the retainer.7. Remove the snap ring and seal (9) from the retainer. Remove the springs that are under seal (9). 8. Remove bearing cup (10) from housing (1).9. Remove shaft (5) from the housing.10. Remove plug (11) from the housing. Check the condition of the O-ring seal on the plug. Make a replacement if necessary. 11. Remove the snap ring from shaft (5) and put tooling (B) in position on the shaft as shown.12. Remove seal (12) and bearing cone (13) from shaft (5) with tooling (B). 13. Turn limiter (16) so the cartridge can be removed.14. Remove cartridge (15) from the housing.15. Remove swashplate (14)
