Remove And Install Vibration Damper And Pulley
1. Remove the bolts that hold the pulley (4) to the vibration damper (3). Remove the pulley (4).2. Remove two of the bolts that hold the damper and adapter (2) to the crankshaft. Install guide bolts, tool (A) where these are removed. 3. Remove the remainder of the bolts, and remove the damper (3) and adapter (2).
The vibration damper has marks (1) on the hub and ring. These marks indicate the condition of the vibration damper. If the marks are not in alignment, install a new damper.
The following steps are for installation of the dampers and the pulley. 4. Install tool (A) in the crankshaft.5. Put adapter (2) and damper (3) in position on the crankshaft.6. Install the bolts that hold the damper and adapter on the crankshaft. Remove tool (A), and install the other two bolts. 7. Put pulley (4) in postion on the vibration damper. Install the four bolts that hold the pulley to the damper.
