Start By:a. separation of tractor and scraper The photos used in the following story are of a 621 equipped with a cushion hitch. The 621S has a solid hitch (see illustration above). There are some differences in the lines groups but the removal procedures are the same.1. Drain the oil from the hydraulic tank. 2. Remove tubes (2).3. Remove clips (4) holding electric cable (1) to the hitch.4. Remove the bolts holding bracket (3) to the hitch and pull the bracket out of the way. 5. Disconnect hoses (5). Remove nuts (7) and bolts that hold hoses (5) to the mounting bracket. Remove these hoses.6. Remove nut (10) and the spacer from the rod end of the steering cylinder (servo-sender).7. Remove bolts (8) and the steering cylinder (servo-sender) and its mounting bracket to one side of the hitch.8. Remove bracket (6) and the hoses connected to it. 9. Disconnect lines (13) on each side of the hitch. (621S not equipped with cushion hitch).10. Disconnect grease lines (12).11. Remove hose clamp (11).12. Remove all the lines, clips, and brackets attached to the hitch. 13. Remove bolts (14), washers, and retainer (15) from the hitch front pin. 14. Remove cotter pin (16) and pin (18). Remove nut (17) from the hitch rear pin using tooling (A). Remove the spacer from the hitch rear pin. 15. Remove four bolts (19). 16. Fasten a hoist to hitch (20).17. Lift the weight of the hitch off the pins that hold it to the tractor. 18. Remove hitch front pin (21) with a pry bar. 19. Remove hitch rear pin (22) with tooling (B). Install a wood block and tooling (B) as shown and push the pin out the rear of the hitch.20. Remove the hitch from the machine. The weight of the hitch is 814 kg (1795 lb.).Install Hitch
1. Put 5P960 Grease in the pin bores of the hitch on tractor frame. 2. Put hitch (20) in position on the tractor.3. Put 5P960 Grease on the hitch front and rear pins.4. Install the pins in hitch (20). Install the pins from the rear of the hitch. 5. Install four bolts (19).6. Install the spacer and nut (17) on the hitch rear pin. Use tooling (C) and tighten nut (17) to a minimum torque of 745 N m (550 lb.ft.). Then turn to the next locking position.7. Install pin (18) in the hitch rear pin. Install cotter pin (16) in pin (18). 8. Install retainer (15), washers, and bolts (14) on the hitch front pin.9. Install all the lines, clips, and brackets that were removed from the hitch in Step 12 of the Remove Hitch story. 10. Install hose clamp (11).11. Connect grease lines (12).12. Connect lines (13) on each side of the hitch (621S not equipped with cushion hitch). 13. Install bracket (6) and the hoses connected to it.14. Install the steering cylinder (servo-sender) and bolts (8).15. Install the spacer and nut (10) on the rod end of the steering cylinder (servo-sender). Tighten
