Assemble receptacle kit (23) onto coil (20).

Assemble start switch (19), coil (20), and switch panel (24). Orient the key slot as shown in Illustration 2. Secure the coil to the switch panel with the nut on the start switch. Tighten to 13.6 4 N m (10 3 lb ft).

Attach control module (1) to bracket (3). Use two bolts (2), two washers (11), two spacers (10), and four isolation mounts (7) to secure the module.

Remove side panel (A) from the right side of the cab.

Secure the control module assembly to the cab using two screws (9). Tighten the screws to 1.7 0.4 N m (15 3.5 lb in).
Remove the existing start switch cover plate and remove the existing start switch.

Place the new start switch into position. Secure the switch panel to the dash using two screws (16) and washers (18). Tighten the screws to 6 1 N m (53 9 lb in).

Install harness (12). Connect coil connector (B), cab harness connector (C), control module connector (D), and cab harness connector (E).
Secure the harness at two locations using cable strap (17).
Install cover plate (13) or (14). Cover (13) is for machines equipped with the engine stop (shutdown) feature. For machines not equipped with this function, install cover (14).Note: The cover cannot interfere with the start switch. Ensure that there is no interference.

Install film (5) using the dimensions shown in Illustration 8.
Install 198-5389 Film or 200-5125 Film around the start switch. Film 200-5125 is for machines equipped with the engine stop (shutdown) feature. For machines not equipped with this function, install film 198-5389.

Install film (15) on the lower corner of the cab door near the door handle.
Assemble each 099-3629 Key Ring and 285-3231 Electronic Key As. Place each 219-6607 Film onto each key.
Set up the MSS. Refer to the "Special Instruction" referenced below. Refer to the topic "Setup of the Machine Security System".
After setting up the system and checking functionality, install any covers that were removed.
