Information:

Keep engine speed low until the engine oil pressure alert indicator goes out. If the alert indicator does not go out within ten seconds, stop the engine and investigate the cause before starting again. Failure to do so can cause engine damage.
DO NOT OPERATE ANY HYDRAULIC SYSTEM WHEN THE ENGINE IS RUNNING AT THE LOW IDLE SPEED. Operating the hydraulic systems will stall the engine and may damage the engine. Wait until the engine speed is greater than 1200 RPM to operate the hydraulic systems.
Allow a cold engine to warm up at low idle (less than 1100 rpm) for at least five minutes.
After five minutes, increase the engine speed above 1200 rpm.
A selection for a hydraulic warm-up is available when the ambient temperatures are cold, if necessary.

The operator may make a selection in order to turn on the hydraulic heater automatically.
Illustration 2 g01944464
Enable the warm up function. When the hydraulic oil heater is enabled, the hydraulic system warm-up comes on at temperatures below 15.5° C (60° F). Then, the hydraulic oil heater shuts off when hydraulic oil temperature reaches 18.3° C (65° F).
No machine function is possible when the warm up circuit is enabled.ReferenceSee "Monitoring System" in this manual for more information.Note: The hydraulic warm up function can be cancelled at any time by pressing the F4 key.
Cycle all hydraulic controls in order to allow warm hydraulic oil to circulate through all hydraulic cylinders and through all hydraulic lines. After the engine has started and the engine is idling, observe the following recommendations:
Allow the engine to warm up for 10 minutes when the ambient temperature is higher than 0°C (+32°F).
Allow the engine to warm up for 15 minutes when the ambient temperature is below 0°C (+32°F).
More time may be required if the ambient temperature is less than −18°C (0°F) or if the hydraulic functions are sluggish.Preheat System (If Equipped)
Note: The warm-up times may be greatly reduced when the preheat system is activated, if equipped.Make sure that the secondary disconnect switch is ON.ReferenceSee "Engine Preheat System" for more information.
