4 - - Torque for cover bolts for oil pump. 26 N m (19 lb ft)
- - - Replace the idler gear bolt (5) and the nut for the oil pump gear (6).
5 - - Tighten the idler gear bolt to the following torque. 26 N m (19 lb ft)
- - - Set the engine to the TC position. Refer to Testing and Adjusting , "Finding Top Center Position for No. 1 Piston". Install the balancer. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly manual. Install the gear for the oil pump and tighten the nut (6).
6 - - Tighten the nut to the following torque. 95 N m (70 lb ft)
- - - Tighten the bolts that hold the balancer to the cylinder block to the following torque. 54 N m (40 lb ft) Engines without Balancer Group
