PUMP AS-FUEL INJECTION 3062160 - Caterpillar

During the conversion to Center-Lock Hydraulics, remove the screens of the coupler control valve on the machines with the Pin Grabber Plus hydraulic kits. Coupler control valves contained screens on machines built prior to November 2010. Refer to Special Instructions, REHS5661, "Procedure to Rework the Quick Coupler Control Valve on Certain Excavators".
Note: Apply a vacuum line to the hydraulic tank to prevent oil leaks during the installation.

Install plug (13) into port "C1" of valve (7) .
Install valve (7) onto the existing valve.

Attach hose (6) to valve (7) at port "T".

Route hose (6) up to the front of the machine.
Use cable straps (1) as needed to bundle all hoses or to secure the hoses to the machine.

Disconnect the hose assembly from the boom hard line on the bucket cylinder extend circuit.
Insert manifold (5) and retain with bolts (20) and existing washers (A) .
Install hose (6) to manifold (5) .

Install hose (4) to valve (7) at port "C2".
Route hose (4) as shown and connect to existing elbow (B) .
Secure hose to the machine.

Install hose (3) to valve (7) at port "P".
Route hose (3) down and connect to the left-hand pump port.

Disconnect existing solenoid harness connector (D) from chassis harness (E) .
Install solenoid harness (8) between solenoid connectors and chassis harness connector.

The machine must be configured before the quick coupler can be used. The Quick Coupler option under Attachment Parts Installation in the Configuration Mode must be updated. Purge the air from the hydraulic lines of the coupler. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System - Air Purge" for more information.
After the electrical system is connected and after the hydraulic system is connected, check the coupler for proper operation. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Operation" for more information.
