The rotating diode module has been improved for the above listed Generator Set engines. In order to allow better performance in extreme environments, improved reliability includes the following improvements:

structuralThe new rectifier diode replaces the 9Y-0916 Rectifier Assembly .Serviceability for the rectifier diode and the external varistor has been raised to the heat sink assembly level. Servicing at the assembly level will ensure the following:
proper application and curing of the thermal transfer paste
decreasing service time with interconnecting wiring
minimizing wiring errors with interconnecting wiring
maximizing protection of the rectifier diode with installation of a fresh, external varistorRefer to Table 1 for a convenient cross-reference from former parts to new assemblies.
