Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Do not allow dirt to enter the fuel system. Thoroughly clean the area around a fuel system component that will be disconnected. Fit a suitable cover over disconnected fuel system component.

If the bracket for the fuel filter mounting was removed, reinstall the bracket.
Place bracket (7) for the fuel filter in position on the engine.
Install the washers, and bolts (6).

If the mounting stud or studs were removed from fuel filter base (4), reinstall the stud or studs.
Apply 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound on the tapered end of the studs to a distance of 7.6 mm (0.30 inch).
Install the studs in fuel filter base (4).
Tighten the studs to a torque of 70 15 N m (52 11 lb ft).
Install fuel filter base (4) in position on the engine, and install two washers, nuts, and bolts (3) in order to hold the fuel filter base.
Connect fuel lines (1) and (5) to the fuel filter base.
Install new fuel filters (2) on the fuel filter base with Tool (A). Follow the instructions with the fuel filter for the correct installation procedure.
