Cylinders equipped with lock valves can remain pressurized for very long periods of time, even with hoses removed.Failure to relieve pressure before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder can result in personal injury or death.Ensure all pressure is relieved before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder.
Start By:a. Park the machine with the frame level and apply the parkbrake.b. Remove attachment carraige.c. Remove attachment coupler.1. Raise the boom approximately 1.0 mtr (40.0 in) to obtain working clearance. 2. Disconnect the two hydraulic hoses (1) and (2) and cap off to prevent oil spillage. 3. Attach a sling and suitable lifting equipment and support the cylinder. 4. Remove the circlip (3) from pin (4). Use Tool (A) to remove the pin.5. Lower the cylinder and remove it from underneath the boom. Weight of fork tilt cylinder is approximately 56Kg (123 lbs).Install Fork Tilt Cylinder.
1. With the aid of lifting equipment and a sling, install the fork level cylinder into the boom assembly. 2. Align the cylinder and install pin (4). Secure the pin with circlip (3). 3. Connect the two hydraulic hoses (1) and (2).4. Install attachment coupler.5. With the parkbrake applied and the transmission control in NEUTRAL, start the engine and operate the fork level cylinder from fully raised to fully lowered several times to bleed the system. Fully raise the fork level cylinder and switch the engine to OFF.End By:a. Install attachment carraige.Disassemble Fork Tilt Cylinder.

Start By:a. Remove fork tilt cylinder.b. Remove lock valve.
For manufacture of tooling to remove bearings from cylinder and piston rod mounting eye, refer to publication, Tool Guide, NEHG2500, Section 5, Page 85.
1. If Necessary remove bearing from piston rod and cylinder mounting eye. 2. Remove lock screw (1). 3. Put the cylinder assembly in position on a suitable stand. 4. Use Tool (A) to unscrew the end cap (2) from the cylinder body. 5. Move the cylinder assembly away from the piston rod (3) using the hydraulics of the stand.6. Remove lock screw (4). 7. Put the piston rod (3) in position on the tool and remove piston (5) from piston rod.8. Remove the 'O' ring seal (6) from the piston rod (3). 9. Remove the piston seal (7) from the piston (5). 10. Engage the end cap (2) on the piston rod (3) with the cylinder body.11. Using the hydraulic stand pull the piston rod (3) away from the end cap (2) and the cylinder body.12. Remove the end cap (2) from the cylinder body. 13. Remove the 'O' ring seal (8), back up ring
