PUMP GP-FUEL INJECTION 3373572 - Caterpillar

Do not attempt to straighten the ROPS structure. Do not repair the ROPS by welding reinforcement plates to the structure.If there are any cracks in the welds, in the castings, or in any metal section of the ROPS, consult your Caterpillar dealer for repairs.

The Rollover Protective Structure (ROPS) is held in place by four mounting bolts (1) and by four mounting bolts that are not shown. The four mounting bolts that are not shown are located behind panel (7). The ROPS is also held in place by the following items: Two pivot bolts (3), two retaining pins (4) and four spring clips (5) .
Inspect the following items: retaining pins, pivot bolts and mounting bolts. Replace any damaged pins or bolts with original equipment parts.
Inspect the ROPS for bolts that are loose or damaged. Bolts that are loose, damaged or missing should be replaced by original equipment parts only.
Tighten mounting bolts (1) and (2) to a torque of 370 50 N m (273 37 lb ft). Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 215 40 N m (159 30 lb ft).Note: Apply oil to all ROPS bolt threads before installation. Failure to apply oil to bolt threads can result in incorrect bolt torque.Operating the machine on a rough surface can cause the ROPS to become noisy. If the ROPS makes a noise, replace rubber bushings (8) on the ROPS.
