Remove cover (1) and the gasket.
Remove timing pointer (2).

Use Tooling (A) in order to rotate flywheel (4) until Hole (X) is off-center. Note: Rotating the flywheel will aid later when Tooling (C) is installed.
Remove two bolts (5).

Install Tooling (B).
Remove remaining bolts (5) from flywheel (4).
Move flywheel (4) away from the engine onto Tooling (B).

Attach Tooling (C) and a suitable lifting device to flywheel (4). The weight of flywheel (4) is approximately 172 kg (380 lb).
Remove flywheel (4).

Remove ring gear (6) from flywheel (4). Installation Procedure

Install Tooling (B).

Raise the temperature of ring gear (6).
Install ring gear (6) onto flywheel (4) with the beveled side facing inward.

Attach Tooling (C) and a suitable lifting device to flywheel (4). The weight of flywheel (4) is approximately 172 kg (380 lb).
Position flywheel (4).

Lubricate bolts (5) with engine oil.
Install bolts (5) into flywheel (4).
Remove Tooling (B).
Install remaining bolts (5). Use Tooling (D) in order to tighten bolts (5) to a torque of 1150 60 N m (848 44 lb ft).

Install cover (3).

Install timing pointer (2).
Install cover (1) and the gasket.
