Information:
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contamination of the hydraulic system with foreign material will reduce the service life of the hydraulic system components.To prevent contaminants from entering the hydraulic system, always plug or cap the lines, fittings, or hoses as they are disconnected. Cover any disassembled components and clean them properly before assembly.Clean the hydraulic system properly after any major component exchange or especially after a component failure, to remove any contamination.
Relieve the pressure in the hydraulic system. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Release of Pressure in the Hydraulic System".
Drain the hydraulic oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil - Change".

Use two people to remove upper grate (1) and lower grate (2) from the guard assembly of hydraulic oil cooler (3). Note: Each grate weighs approximately 31 kg (68 lb).

Remove hoses (4) for the hydraulic cooling fan motor. Note: Mark the hoses before you remove the hoses.
Remove two plates (5) at the lower corners of the guard assembly of hydraulic oil cooler (3).

Disconnect hose (6) from the top of hydraulic oil cooler (3). Remove clamps (7) that secure hose (6) to the top of hydraulic oil cooler (3).

Disconnect hose (8) and hose (9) at the bottom corner of hydraulic oil cooler (3).

Attach a suitable lifting device and a hoist to the top of the guard assembly of hydraulic oil cooler (3).

Remove three bolts (10) at each of the four mounting locations for hydraulic oil cooler (3).
Use the hoist to remove hydraulic oil cooler (3) from the machine. Place hydraulic oil cooler (3) in a suitable work area. Note: The hydraulic oil cooler weighs approximately 1160 kg (2557 lb).

Remove block (11) from hydraulic oil cooler (3).
Remove one bolt from each mount assembly on oil cooler core (12). Install Tooling (A) (not shown) at the corner of each mount.
Attach a suitable lifting device and a hoist to the upper set of mount assemblies on oil cooler core (12). Attach a suitable lifting device to the lower set of mount assemblies on oil cooler core (12).

Carefully remove the bolts and caps (13) from the four mount assemblies on oil cooler core (12).

Use the two separate lifting devices to tilt oil cooler core (12) as you remove oil cooler core (12) from hydraulic oil cooler (3). Note: You must tilt the oil cooler core in order to provide clearance for the brackets at the top of the guard assembly. The oil cooler core weighs approximately 800 kg (1764 lb).

Attach a suitable lifting device and a hoist to mount assembly (14) for the hydraulic cooling fan motor and the fan spider. Remove mount assembly (14) from oil cooler core (12). Note: The mount assembly, the hydraulic cooling fan motor, and the fan spider weigh approximately 94 kg (207 lb).

Remove shroud (15) from oil cooler core (12).
