1. Put water pump in position and install the four bolts that hold it.2. Install the two bolts that hold the inlet elbow for the water pump.3. Fill engine with coolant to the correct level.Remove Jacket Water Pump (D330C, D333C Marine Engines)
1. Remove coolant from engine cooling system. Capacity is 11 U.S. Gal. (41 liter). 2. Remove water pump inlet elbow (1). 3. Disconnect water pump bypass line (2).4. Disconnect water pump outlet line (3).5. Remove four nuts (4) and bearing cover (5).6. Remove water pump.Install Jacket Water Pump (D330C, D333C Marine Engines)
1. Put the water pump in position on the engine.2. Install the bearing cover and cover bolts.3. Connect the water pump outlet line.4. Connect the water pump bypass line.5. start by: a) remove jacket water pump 1. Remove two bolts and remove impeller cover (1).2. Remove the impeller nut and washer. 3. Remove the water pump impeller (2) with tooling (A). Remove the spring and seal assembly from the water pump shaft. 4. Remove bearing cage nuts (3).5. Remove bearing gear and shaft assembly from the water pump housing.6. Remove the ceramic ring and rubber seal (4) from the water pump housing.7. Remove oil seal (5) from the water pump housing.8. Remove bearing nut and lock (6). 9. Remove bearings (7), gear (8) and bearing cage (9) from water pump shaft (10) with tooling (B).Assemble Jacket Water Pump (D330C, D333C Marine Engines)
1. Heat the pump drive gear and bearings in oil to a maximum temperature of 275° F (135° C). 2. Install the bearings, gear and bearing cage on the water pump shaft. Install bearing nut and lock (1).3. Install the oil seal in the pump housing with the lip of the seal toward the outside.4. Put clean SAE 30 engine oil on the lip of the oil seal.5. Install the shaft assembly in the water pump housing.6. Install the bearing cage nuts. 7. Install the ceramic ring and rubber seal (2) in the water pump housing with the shiny part of the ceramic ring toward the outside.8. Install the carbon seal assembly (3) with the shiny part toward the ceramic ring. Install the spring (4). 9. Install the impeller, washer and nut (5). Tighten the nut to a torque of 30 5 lb.ft.
