1. Start the machine. Raise the bowl until the sliding floor is parallel to the ground. Move the sliding floor to the rear.2. Put Tooling (D) under each side of the bowl to support it as shown.3. Put wood blocks in front of and behind the rollers to prevent movement.4. Put a suitable floor jack in position under each side of the sliding floor to lift the weight off of the sliding floor rollers.5. Fasten a lifting sling and a hoist to the sliding floor roller assembly. Remove three bolts (1) that hold the sliding floor roller assembly to the sliding floor assembly. Remove the sliding floor roller assembly. The weight of the sliding floor roller assembly is 29 kg (65 lb).6. Remove the other three sliding floor roller assemblies as in Step 5.7. Disassemble the sliding floor roller assemblies as follows: a. Bend the lock off of nut (4). Remove nut (4), lock (3) and roller (2) from the bracket. b. Remove key (5) and spacer (6) from roller (2). c. Using Tool (A), remove lip-type seal (7) from the roller. d. Using Tool (B), remove retaining ring (8) from the roller. e. Install a 1B-7413 Nut (9) on the end of the shaft as shown. Using Tooling (C), remove the shaft and bearing, as a unit, from the roller. Remove the bearing and nut from the shaft.Install Sliding Floor Rollers
1. Assemble the sliding floor roller assemblies as follows: a. Using a press, install the shaft in the bearing. Be sure the bearing is seated against the shoulder on the shaft. Using Tooling (A), install the bearing and shaft, as a unit, in the roller. b. Using Tool (B), install retaining ring (1) in the roller. c. Using Tooling (C), install the seal in the roller. d. Install spacer (3) and key (2) in roller (4). e. Put roller (4) in position in the bracket. Install lock (5) and nut (6). Tighten the nut; then bend the lock over the nut. 2. Fasten a lifting sling and a hoist to the sliding floor roller assembly. Put the sliding floor roller assembly in position on the side of the sliding floor assembly. Install the three bolts that hold it.3. Assemble and install the other three sliding floor roller assemblies as in Steps 1 and 2. 4. Remove the wood blocks from in front of and behind the rollers.5. Remove the floor jacks from under the sliding floor assembly.6. Remove Tool (D) from under the front of the bowl. 7. Check clearance (7) between the sliding floor rollers and the bowl. The clearance must be 0.8 to 6.5 mm (.03 to .25 in). Check clearance (8) between the floor insert and the guide at two points. The clearance must be zero with the sliding floor closed.
