To prevent personal injury, lower all equipment to the ground. The engine must be stopped and the disconnect switch must be in the OFF position with the key removed. Loosen the cap on the hydraulic tank to vent any pressure in the tank.
(1) Install 7T9746 Solenoid Valve Group (1) on 7T9745 Manifold (2). Remove the coil from the solenoid valve group. Tighten the solenoid valve to a torque of 65 4 N m (85 5 lb. ft.). Install the coil on the solenoid valve. Fasten manifold (2) to 6W5403 Bracket (3) using two L2070 Bolts and 1D4717 Nuts. Put a 3J1907 Seal on 4K6297 Elbow (4), and install elbow (4) in the bottom port of manifold (2). Connect 2V8571 Hose Assembly (A) to elbow (4).(2) Put a 3J1907 Seal on 307947 Elbow (5), and install elbow (5) in manifold (2). Put a 3J1907 Seal on 6V8648 Connector (6) and install connector (6) in manifold (2).(3) Disconnect hose assemblies (7) from swing motor (8). Disconnect hose (B) from the elbow and install a 6S5693 Tee between hose (B) and the elbow. (4) Put a 3J1907 Seal on both of the 2R6806 Connectors, and install a connector in both 8K3370 Adapters (9). Install adapters (9) and 1P3705 Seals on motor (8) with the connectors down; connect hoses (7) using two new 1P3704 Seals and eight new L1329 Bolts and 5P8245 Washers. (5) Remove the nuts and washers from two bolts (10), and fasten bracket (3) to strip (11) using bolts (10). For machines not equipped with blocker valve (12) or strip (11), go to Step 8.(6) Install 8P6088 Hose Assembly (13) between connector (6) and the connector on left adapter (9) on the swing motor. Install 3T9292 Hose Assembly (14) between elbow (5) and the connector on right adapter (9) on the swing motor. Connect 6W4004 Harness Assembly (15) to wire (16) from solenoid valve group (1). Connect the ground wire to one of the bolts. Connect hose assembly (A) to the tee on motor (8). (7) Connect 6W4005 Wire Assembly (17) to harness assembly (15). Put wire assembly (17) in position next to the cab wiring harness, and through the tube in the upper frame. Remove right console cover (18), and install 8D2676 Switch Assembly (19) in switch mounting hole (C), if available. If a mounting hole is not available, drill a 12.5 Ø mm (0.50" Ø) hole 10 mm (0.40") to the left of center of console cover (18) at location shown. Install switch (19) and an 8T3019 Film on console cover (18). Install a 6W4003 Wire Assembly (20) between the cigar lighter and terminal 2 on switch (19). Connect wire assembly (17) to terminal 3 on switch (19), and install console cover (18). (8) For machine without strip (11) to mount the bracket, make strip (11) from 5 mm (0.197") mild steel to the dimensions shown. Use a 10.50 mm Ø (0.413" Ø) drill to make holes (D) at locations shown.
