The auxiliary bank valve contains most of the solenoid operated valves for the auxiliary system. In addition, the auxiliary bank valve contains flow regulators, control valves, and pressure reducing valves for some of the different auxiliary systems. In Illustration 4, auxiliary bank valve (1) contains solenoid valves for the auxiliary functions except for the following valves:

Pressure Reducing Valve (10) The main function of auxiliary bank valve (1) is to direct and maintain pressure oil to the auxiliary components. Auxiliary bank valve (2) will receive oil and distribute the oil evenly to the auxiliary components. There is a alternate pressure line on auxiliary bank valve (2) that is used for the screed counterbalance system. All return oil for the auxiliary functions that are contained in Illustration 4 will route return oil to the auxiliary bank valve. The auxiliary bank valve will route return oil to the return filter on the hydraulic tank.The functions that have direct return lines to the hydraulic tank are listed below.
