Remove the fuel pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Pump (Screed Burner) - Remove". Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before you begin the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the components should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism. Precision components can be damaged by contaminants or by dirt. Perform disassembly procedures on a clean work surface. Keep components covered and protected at all times.

Remove plug (23) from cover (22).
Remove screws (24) and remove cover (22), gasket (25), spacer (26), gasket (27), and strainer (28) from housing (2).
Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Remove screws (19), end plate (29), spring (30), seat (31), diaphragm (18), and gear (17) from housing (2).
Remove shaft (14) from shaft (11). Use Tooling (A) and remove retaining ring (13). Remove lip seal (12) and shaft (11) from housing (2).
Remove plugs (32) and (33) from housing (2).

Remove plug (36), valve screw (35), O-ring seal (34), valve spring (21), and valve (20) from housing (2).
Remove plug (16) and gasket (15) from housing (2).
Remove bleeder valve (1) and plug (10) from housing (2).

Remove adjuster plug (7), spring seat (6), spring (5), piston (4), and gasket (3) from housing (2).
Remove adjusting screw (9) and O-ring seal (8) from adjuster plug (7).
