Remove the rear housing.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove bolts (3) and retainer (2).
Attach a suitable lifting device to gear (1). The weight of gear (1) and gear (8) is approximately 55 kg (121 lb). Remove gear (1) and gear (8) from shaft (9).
Remove bolts (7) that hold gear (1) and gear (8) together. Separate the gears.
If necessary, remove the bearing from gear (8).
Remove bolts (10) and shaft (9).
Remove one bolt (6) and install Tooling (A).
Use Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to remove shaft (11) and gear (4). The weight of shaft (11) and gear (4) is approximately 41 kg (90 lb). Remove bolts (12). Remove shaft (11) and gear (4).
Remove Tooling (A), remaining bolts (6), and retainer (5). Remove gear (4) from shaft (11).
If necessary, remove the bearing from gear (4).
Repeat Step 6 through Step 9 for the other idler gear.
