52. Install three plates (65), bolts and locks. 53. Install the outer bearing race in No. 1 carrier with tooling (B). 54. Install the ball in shaft (66).55. Install bearings (68) in gears (69). Install the gears, washers (67) and shafts (66) in the No. 1 carrier. There must be a washer on each side of the gears. 56. Install the bearings in gears (70). Install the gears, washers (71) and shaft (73) in the No. 1 carrier. There must be a washer on each side of the gears. Put the hole in shaft (73) in alignment with the hole in No. 1 carrier. Install dowels (72). 57. Put sun gear (74) in position on the No. 1 carrier. Install three plates (75), bolts and locks that hold it. 58. Fasten a hoist to No. 1 carrier (76). Put the carrier in position in the No. 3 clutch housing. Make sure the teeth of the lower planetary gears of the No. 1 carrier engage with the teeth of the ring gear for the No. 3 clutch housing. 59. Install the ring in piston (77). Install the ring in No. 2 clutch housing (78). Lightly push the piston into the clutch housing.60. Install twelve springs (79) and six pins (80).61. Fasten a hoist to the No. 2 clutch housing. Put the No. 2 clutch housing in position on the No. 3 clutch housing. Make sure the springs and pins engage in the holes in the No. 2 clutch housing. 62. Install two pins (81). Install ring gear (84) in the No. 2 clutch housing.63. Install four discs (82) and three plates (83). Start with a disc. Remove the two pins. 64. Install four pins (86). Install plate (85) on the No. 2 clutch housing with pin (87) down as shown. Remove two of the pins (86). 65. Install ring gear (90) as shown.66. Install five discs (88) and four plates (89). Start with a disc. 67. Install ring (91) in the piston for the No. 1 clutch housing. Put clean SAE 30 oil on the ring. 68. Install ring (92) in the No. 1 clutch housing. Put clean SAE 30 oil on the ring.69. Lightly push the piston in the No. 1 clutch housing. 70. Use tooling (C) to hold the piston in the No. 1 clutch housing.71. Install six pins (95) and twelve springs (94).72. Fasten a hoist to No. 1 clutch housing (93). Put the clutch housing in position on the plate. Make sure the springs engage in the hole of the No. 1 clutch housing. 73. Install bolts (96) that hold the clutch housings together. Bolt (97) is a short bolt.74. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 85 5 lb.ft. (115.2 6.8 N m). 75. Heat bearing race (98) in oil
