Installation Procedure
Make sure that all components of the centershift cylinder are clean prior to installation. During installation of the centershift cylinder, check the condition of all O-ring seals that are used in the hoses that were disconnected. If any of the seals are damaged use new parts for replacement.

Position suitable lifting slings around the centershift cylinder (1). Secure the lifting slings to a hoist. The weight of the centershift cylinder (1) is 34 kg (75 lb). Position the centershift cylinder to the original location on the machine and the lower ball stud.
Hand pack 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease between the inserts and the ball stud. Position cap (6) and the shims to the centershift cylinder and the lower ball stud. Install two bolts (7) and install washers in cap (6) .
Connect hose assembly (4) to centershift cylinder (1). Connect hose assembly (5) to centershift cylinder (1) .
Hand pack 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease between the inserts and the ball stud. Install one shim into the cylinder rod end.
Start the engine and extend the centershift cylinder rod until the centershift cylinder rod reaches the upper ball stud. Stop the engine. Position cap (3) and the remaining shim to the upper ball stud. Align the rod end of the centershift cylinder with cap (3). Install two bolts (2) and two washers to cap (3) .
Start the engine. Extend the centershift cylinder and retract the centershift cylinder several times in order to remove air from the hydraulic system. Check the hydraulic tank for the proper level of oil. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual for the proper method of filling the hydraulic tank. The capacity of the hydraulic tank is 38 L (10 US gal).
