PROBLEM
The existing relief valve in the control manifold can fail on certain HM518 Mulching Heads used on D3K2 Track-Type Tractors. If the existing relief valve fails, it can result in low speed/power of the mulching head drum.

PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
1. Remove the control manifold from the mulcher. Refer to M0081273, Disassembly and Assembly, "Control Manifold - Remove and Install".
2. Cap the hydraulic lines to prevent contamination.
3. Remove the 523-1940 Relief Valve from the manifold and replace with a new 360-3682 Plug and 238-5082 O-Ring Seal.
4. Remove the 523-1939 Check Valve from the manifold and replace with a new 551-4676 Plug Assembly.
5. Reinstall the control manifold.
