Attach a suitable lifting device to tilt cylinder (1) .
Remove bolts (2) and cover (3) .

Disconnect hose assemblies (4) from tilt cylinder (1) .

Remove bolts (7), cap (5), and shims (6) from tilt cylinder (1) .

Remove bolts (8) and retainer (9) .
Remove pin (12) from tilt cylinder (1) .
Use the suitable lifting device in order to remove tilt cylinder (1). The weight of tilt cylinder (1) is approximately 92 kg (203 lb).Disassembly and Assembly Information

Cylinders equipped with lock valves can remain pressurized for very long periods of time, even with the hoses removed.Failure to relieve pressure before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder can result in personal injury or death.Ensure all pressure is relieved before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder.

(1) Apply Tooling (D) onto the nut prior to installation. Tighten the nut to a torque of 3000 300 N m (2213 221 lb ft). (2) Lubricate the lips of the seals with the lubricant that is being sealed. (3) Apply Tooling (C) onto the seal groove.Installation Procedure

Use a suitable lifting device in order to position tilt cylinder (1). The weight of tilt cylinder (1) is approximately 92 kg (203 lb).
Install pin (10), retainer (9), and bolts (8) to tilt cylinder (1) .

Install cap (7), shims (8), and bolts (5) to tilt cylinder (1) .

Connect hose assemblies (4) to tilt cylinder (1) .

Install cover (3) and install bolts (2) to tilt cylinder (1) .End By: Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
