Remove Tooling (F) from the rear of the machine.

Remove Tooling (E). Remove bucket pin (8) .

Connect two lubrication tube assemblies (18) to the block at the front of the upper structure.

Install the washers and five bolts (17) that secure the swivel assembly to the undercarriage of the machine.

Connect four hose assemblies (15) to the swivel assembly.
Inspect hose and tube assembly O-ring seals on the swivel assembly. If any of the seals are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.
Install fitting (14). Connect two hose assemblies (13) to the swivel assembly.
Connect two hose assemblies (16) to the swivel assembly.

Reinstall covers (12) with the washers and bolts (11) .
Install middle cover assembly (9). Install the washers and six bolts (10) to the middle cover assembly (9) .

Rotate the machine in order to gain easy access to bolts (7). Use Tool (C) to tighten the remaining bolts (7). Torque all the bolts to 1800 200 N m (1328 148 lb ft).

Remove Tool (B) .
Install the right hand boom cylinder to the machine.Reference: Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Boom Cylinder - Install" in this manual.
Fill the hydraulic oil tank with oil to the correct level.Reference: Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lubricant Viscosities and Refill Capacities" for the proper filling procedure and the proper levels for the hydraulic oil system.

Install Tool (A) into the final drive.
Remove the temporary bolts. Remove cover (4) from the final drive.

Position ring gear (6) in cover (4). Make sure that all of the mounting holes in both the cover and the ring gear are aligned. Apply 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound on the threads of the socket head bolts (5). Tighten socket head bolts (5) evenly to a torque of 100 20 N m (74 15 lb ft).

Make sure that the mating surfaces of the ring gear and cover (4) are thoroughly clean. Apply 1U-8846 Sealant on the mating surfaces of the two components.
Install cover (4) in the cover's original position. By rotating the cover back and forth, the planetary gears of the outer carrier assembly in the final drive can engage the ring gear in the cover.
Apply 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound on the threads of all bolts (3) that hold cover (4) in position. Install bolts (3) and the washers.
Remove Tool (A). Apply 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound on two bolts (1). Install the washers and two bolts (1). Tighten bolts (1) and (3) to a torque of 1600 200 N m (1180 148 lb ft).
Repeat Steps 24 through 30 for the other final drive.
Fill both final drives with oil to the correct level.Reference: Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for the proper filling procedure and the proper levels for the hydraulic oil system.End By: Install the bucket. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Bucket - Install" in this manual.
