Procedure For Installation Of FT1514 Lubrication Manifold
1. Fabricate manifold to the dimensions and specifications in Illustration 1.2. See Illustration 2 for a general location of the grease fittings and manifold. Then drill four holes in the panel to the dimensions shown in Illustration 4.3. Remove the grease fittings from the bearings.4. Install the parts as shown in Illustrations 2 and 3.5. Install the grease fittings in the manifold. See Illustration 2. Since removal of the rear cover is no longer necessary, it will not be possible for the serviceman to see grease come out of the bearing when lubricant is added. Two or three full strokes of a regular hand-operated grease gun per each grease fitting will put enough lubricant in the bearings.
