Test Step 1. CHECK THE SENSOR POWER SUPPLY
Turn the key start switch and the disconnect switch to the ON position.
At the J1 harness connector for the "auxiliary control pod" (stand-alone lever), insert 7X-1710 Multimeter Probes along the contact for the power supply1 (wire 709-OR(Orange)) and along the ground contact 3 (wire A295-BK(Black)). Do not disconnect the machine harness from the J1 connector.
Measure the DC voltage of the sensor power supply. Expected Result:The voltage measurement is approximately 10.0 0.4 DCV.Results:
OK - The voltage measurement is approximately 10.0 0.4 DCV. The power supply for the sensor is correct. Proceed to Test Step 2.
NOT OK - The voltage measurement is less than 10.0 0.4 DCV. The power supply for the sensor is not correct. Repair: Either the sensor ground circuit wire A295-BK(Black) or the supply wire 709-OR(Orange) has a bad connection or an open connection in the machine harness. Examine all of the connectors that are in the circuit. Ensure that the connections are clean, that the connections are secure and that the connections are in good condition. Refer to the CID 1482 procedures in this manual for troubleshooting the 10 VDC power supply. Repair the machine harness or
