1. Using Tool (A), remove fuel filter (6).2. Mark the position of breather assembly (1) in relation to the cylinder head assembly for installation purposes. Remove breather assembly (1) and the O-ring seal from the fuel filter base.3. Disconnect tube assemblies (3) and (4) from the fuel filter base.4. Remove four bolts (5) and the washers that hold the fuel filter base to the engine. Remove the fuel filter base and gasket from the engine. 5. Remove fuel pressure bypass valve (2). The following steps are for the installation of the fuel filter base and fuel filter.6. Check the condition of the gasket for the fuel filter base, the O-ring seal for breather assembly (1) and the O-ring seals used in the tube assemblies that connect to the fuel filter base. If the gasket and seals are damaged, use new parts for replacement.7. Install fuel pressure bypass valve (2).8. Put the gasket and fuel filter base in position on the engine. Install four bolts (5) and the washers that hold it.9. Connect tube assemblies (3) and (4) to the fuel filter base.10. Install the O-ring seal and breather assembly (1) on the fuel filter base. Position the breather assembly so the outlet is pointing 30 5 degrees away from the cylinder head assembly. After positioning the breather assembly, tighten the bolt that holds it to a torque of 7 2 N m (62 18 lb in).11. Install fuel filter (6).
