Joystick Control ( 825G IISoil Compactor and 826G IILandfill Compactor)
Illustration 2 g00867009
Joystick Control ( 824G II Wheel Tractor)The implement controls are located on the right side of the operator's station. The implement electronic control consists of the joystick control (1), the implement lockout switch (2), and the tip control ( 824G II) (3). Pushing the control lever forward will cause the blade to lower. If you push joystick control (1) all the way forward, the lever will be held by the detent. The blade will continue to lower until the kickout position is reached. The control lever will then return to the HOLD position. The blade will follow the contour of the ground.Pushing joystick control (1) backward will cause the blade to raise. When you release the control lever, the lever will return to the HOLD position. On the 824G II Wheel Tractor and the 825G II Soil Compactor, the joystick control can actuate the tilt function. The blade will tilt to the left when joystick control (1) is pushed to the left. The blade will tilt to the right when control lever (2) is pushed to the right. The control lever will return to the HOLD position when the lever is released. On the 824G Wheel Loader, implement function select trigger (3) can be pressed. If you push joystick control (1) to the left the top of the blade will tip back. When you release the joystick control, the lever will return to the HOLD position. If you push the joystick control to the right the top of the blade will tip forward. When you release joystick control (1) the lever will return to the HOLD position.Pressing the implement lockout switch (3) forward electronically locks the movement of the implements. No signal is sent to the electronic control module when lock (3) is in this position. Joystick control (1) will be disabled. Press the back of the lock (3) in order to resume use of the joystick control.Electronic Communication between Control Lever and Pilot System
As joystick control (1) is moved, an electronic signal is sent from the position sensor for the implement control lever to the electronic control module (ECM). The position sensors are located just below the joystick control. The ECM is located on the rear right side of the operator compartment. The position sensors send a signal to the ECM. The sensors continuously communicate the position of the joystick control to the ECM. A lever position sensor tells the ECM that the position of the lever has changed when the operator moves joystick control (1). The ECM sends a signal that activates the appropriate solenoid valve in the pilot valve (oil manifold). The signal regulates the amount of flow of pilot oil through the proportional solenoid valve. The electronic signal is evaluated by the ECM and an output signal is then sent to the proper pilot valve. The pilot valves control the pilot hydraulic oil. The pilot valves are located on the right front frame of the machine. The pilot
