Remove the blade from the machine.
Remove the bolts, bearing, and the retainer. Discard the parts.

Arrow show the Grinded location in the housing
Flame cut the current housing (1) from the butterfly bracket (A) .
Grind the cut of the housing to get a smooth surface. Refer to Illustration 2.

(W1) 20 mm (0.8 inch) bevel weld (W2) 8 mm (0.3 inch) fillet weld from (C) to (D) with 1.5 mm (0.06 inch) root penetration on both sides
Tack weld the new housing (1). Ensure that maximum number of holes are located into the butterfly bracket (A) during housing orientation. This housing must be tack welded in the position as shown in Illustration 3 and Illustration 4.Note: There should be a maximum of two bolt holes outside of the butterfly bracket.
Weld the top and the bottom of the housing to the butterfly bracket. Then weld the joint at both ends of the butterfly bracket and the housing. Refer to Illustration 5 for weld dimensions.
Install a new bearing (4) and retainer (3) .
Install eight new bolts (2). Torque bolts (2) to 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft). Apply yellow paint on the housing (1) and retainer (3) .
